Hey readers! It's a brand new week! This week, I made sure to read all the books I have to post for you. These are all books that have been in our classroom library, but you might have overlooked them before now. This week, I thought I'd give a little description, so you can decide which books seem right for you!
Howie Bowles, Secret Agent is a realistic fiction book about a boy who moves to a new school. He's worried about making new friends. If you've ever moved someplace new, I bet you'll feel a big connection with Howie! Read to find out how he decides to deal with his worries...
Russell Rides Again is another realistic fiction book about a boy going to school. Russell is going into kindergarten, though. He does some pretty silly things! If you have a younger brother or sister, this will be a great bok for you!
The Case of the Missing Monkey is the first book in the mystery series High Rise Private Eyes. It is about Jack Jones (a raccoon) and Bunny Brown (a bunny, of course!) who live in an apartment building and solve mysteries! It is pretty funny to see how Jack and Bunny tease each other. If you like Minnie and Moo, you might like this, too!
Mrs. Piggie Wiggle is a funny book about a woman who lives in a small town. All the parents in town call her up when their children are being naughty, and she tells them how to cure their kids! You will laugh so hard about the girl who doesn't want to take a bath... But I won't give it away!
What a Trip, Amber Brown is from the A is for Amber series. Amber goes on a camping trip with her family and her best friend Justin's family. Not everything goes the way she wants it... I bet you know how that feels!
Zelda and Ivy is about two fox sisters. Zelda is the older one. She always has great ideas, but I think you'll notice something funny going on. Somehow, she only ever wants Ivy to do them!
Second Grade Star is another realistic fiction book. The main character, Kelly, doesn't feel like there is anything special about her. But if you read to the end, I think you'll see there are many things that make her special!
The Absent Author is the first book in the A to Z Mysteries. Mystery books are fun because you can look for the clues along with the characters. Sometimes, if you read enough of them, you can even solve the mystery first! This book not only has a cool mystery to solve, it is also about good friends, and there are lots of funny parts.
Well, I hope that helps you choose a book that interests you this week! Leave a comment below and tell us what you've been reading, too. Try to write a short description, like I did. Maybe other kids in class will get ideas from you, too!
