Have you ever had a Smarty Party? We haven't either, but we know how to get one! If you want to get a Smarty Party, you have to do these things: Be Kind, Be Safe, and Do Your Best. You have to be quiet in the halls, so other kids can do their work. You also should be a role model when someone is new. You could lose smarties if you don't behave! Dun! Dun! Dun! Tomorrow is our first Smarty Party! Woo hoo!
Howdy, families! Do you like reading? Well, you came to the right place. Follow me to Camp Read S'More! March is Reading Month and we are having all kinds of fun stuff to celebrate reading! We had Family Night last week. If you came to Family Night, here are the activities you could do: take a photo at the Camp Site, hear a story around a campfire at the Read Aloud Lagoon, go to the Lost and Found Swamp, make s'more trail mix at the Sweet Treat Trail, get some pizza at the Mess Hall, and go to the Campfire Sing-A-Long. It was really fun. It was 100% fun! That's all about Family Night.
Buenos Dias! Nihau! Namaste! Aloha! Bonjour! Konnichi wa! Hello! We have been around the world in one hour! But we didn't actually go to real countries. We learned about them by going to lots of different stations. Each station was for a different country. There were activities and games from each country at the stations. At one station, we got to do origami. We went to ten different countries, all in one hour! See ya next year at the Schroeder World Tour!
Today, we went around the world! It was the Schroeder World Tour, and we got to visit nine different countries. We learned about the languages people speak in those countries and what they do for fun. In South Korea, we learned what animal we are, depending on what year we were born. In Turkey, we got to see calligraphy. In Spain, we learned about bullfighting and dancing. In the United States, we visited Mt. Rushmore. Can you believe it? And we got to do and see a lot more than that, too - without even leaving Schroeder!
We are having a Smarty Party soon! In our classroom, there is a bucket. When we fill it up with Smarties, we get to have a SMARTY PARTY! We can earn Smarties to fill the bucket by being super helpers, by being a good example in the hall for younger students, and by getting compliments from other adults in the building. We also earn them when we work hard and show Mrs. Freeman we are ready to learn. Our Smarty Party will be this Friday! We can't wait!!!!!
